For every rule about which Sun Signs are compatible, there’s an exception to be found out there in the world living happily – or unhappily — ever after. What some call mismatches, others accept as part of the crucible that is human relationships. Look at the Sun signs of family, friends, and you'll likely see the full spectrum.

Some Sun signs do mesh better at the outset than others. Take note, however, that the other planets, especially the Moon, Venus and Mars, are just as involved in the relationship. But since the Sun Signs are central to a person’s astrological make-up, it’s worth reading up on a possible love connection.

Aries — Slow down. Stop being so impatient with others. Ask for help when you need it. And don't hesitate to take the first step in mending a broken heart. Your tendency to procrastinate may let down who are depending on you.

Aries ignites around the other Fire signs Leo and Sagittarius. If egos are kept in check the Aries-Leo match can grow into mutual adoration and encouragement. The Aries-Sadge couple hits the ground running as a pair of bon vivants. The Aries-Gemini match starts on a high note, but may never come down from the mania into a settled relationship. When Aries meets its polar opposite Libra, it can be like the Mt. Everest of relationships, but worth the journey. Love is a battlefield for Aries-Scorpio, both being Mars-ruled, but you can't match this pair's intensity.

Taurus — Offer fewer explanations or excuses. Others know that you are a person of integrity and accept you for who you are. Stop being so hard on yourself. Start acting with your head and not your heart.

Taurus can take it slow and easy with the other Earth signs Capricorn and Virgo. But Capricorn would be wise not to get bossy with the Bull. Same goes for Virgo with the tendency to critique. Gemini finds the mental stimulation it needs from the other Air signs Libra and Aquarius. But Libra might get exasperated with the flighty Geminian ways. A Gemini-Aries match won't be boring but may not last since these two have short attention spans. Pisces understand the Gemini's changeability, making this a kindred spirit. The equally flexible and intellectually adventurous Sagittarius could also win the Gemini heart.

Cancer — You have the tendency to smother someone who is dear to you. Back off a little and you will discover that they will be drawn closer to you. As you tend to wear your heart on your sleeve, others are attracted to your honesty and forthrightness, but remember that not all people react the same to your unique personality.

Cancer feels emotionally understood with the other Water signs Scorpio and Pisces. This holds true as long as the Scorpio is not too secretive and wounding, and the Pisces has balancing elements to give shape to their sense of self. Leo — Although you are anxious to please, and you are known for your generosity, you do have a tendency

Virgo focus is on the details of daily life and other Earth signs Capricorn and Taurus support this trait. Virgo doesn't mind playing helpmate to Capricorn, or working alongside Taurus. But Virgo needs to keep from being weighted down, a danger of being with another earth sign. The Virgo-Cancer combo brings two worriers together, but both cherish the little habits that come with life together. Many a Virgo ends up with Pisces for a match that draws them into the emotional depths.

Libra — Value friendship, peace, and reflect on your accomplishments. Once you stop being so hard on yourself, you will be more at ease with others and not focus so heavily on their flaws, mistakes, etc. You are incredibly loyal and expect the same from others, but you should relax your standards a bit, as you are often disappointed.

Scorpio — You should be more open to democratic decision-making as you tend to value your opinion infinitely more than those close to you. Although you have very loyal admirers, they do shy away from you at times for fear of being overpowered. You intrigue people because you are at times shy and introverted, but when you come out of your shell you seem capable of running the world.

Scorpio can merge swimmingly with other Water signs Cancer and Pisces. But Scorpio will need to learn true emotional revelation to win the heart of either of these two sensitive souls. The Scorpio-Taurus match creates a duo with the power to build an empire. The Scorpio-Scorpio couple has to fight (literally) to keep from imploding, but they can work out most things in the bedroom.

Sagittarius — You are gregarious, fun loving, willing to put yourself out for a friend, but you have been disappointed at times by a lack of reciprocation from those close to you. You have a large heart, a generous spirit and adventurous soul, but for everything you have accomplished, you feel you have basically gone it alone. Capricorn — Giving, loyal, ambitious and picky. When you make a friend, it is for a lifetime, but sometimes you can be too demanding, too incessant, too stubborn. But you seem to drawn back when close to real success, almost as if you are too happy with the your present status.

Capricorn is drawn to the other Earth signs Virgo and Taurus. But Capricorn could get restless with these two, and seek out relationships with more edge. Like in life, Capricorn is an achiever in romance, and other Cardinal signs Cancer, Libra and Aries offer that coveted brass ring. The Capricorn-Aquarius match has a cool dignity that gives each plenty of emotional space.

Aquarius — While usually looking at the broader picture, you are prone to overlook the obvious. Take a closer, more definitive look at your important relationships and you may discover you have better friendships than you think. A Pisces-Pisces affair could lead to total oneness, but they should make sure they have a separate life, too.
